Gloria Kiconco is a poet based in Kampala, Uganda. She primarily writes poetry and creative non-fiction. She also experiments with mixed media and other forms combining text and visual art.

Kiconco is a correspondent 2015/16 for Commonwealth Writers in creative non-fiction. Her personal essays have appeared in The Forager Magazine and Doppiozero’s Why Africa? Her poetry has been published in Brittle Paper, Lawino, and So Many Stories. She performs regularly at Poetry-in- session in Kampala.

In 2015, Kiconco was a participant in AtWork Kampala and a recipient of the Goethe Institut Moving Africa travel grant. Kiconco was shortlisted for the Farafina Trust Creative Writing Workshop 2016 and participated in the LaBa Arts Festival 2016 with her performance project, SOLD OUT.
